Not so bad after all

Many people have been ranting/scoffing about how college life is way tougher/boring/sucky compare to secondary school. I admit it is tougher ( if it's easier, why bother studying? ). Not forgetting some people claim that secondary school life is the best without even living through college life. Come'on, it's just the 2nd week of college and perhaps the 1st for Taylorians. Life in college would be fine if we should change our perception and make the best out of it.

My lecturers have been giving quite alot of homework. It's alot and tougher but I'm adepting to it for I have no choice. About friends, almost the whole class is my friend by now. The class is no more quiet but lively, except when lectures on certain subjects are on. Heh. Well I think during biology class, my class is loud and rowdy. We locked the lecturer out of class for a short moment today. Ha ha.

On the other hand, we get our own apparatus during experiments. Forget about groups and sharing. Everyone has to do it and this discourages freeloaders. Some people might find this problematic as they are not really sure about the usage of certain apparatus and the rough amount of solution to be used. Laboratory work does contribute 10% to student's evaluation. No more horsing around. Sad. Take note that the experiments are fun to do! No more broken/incompetent apparatus! More high-tech gizmos! Ironically, I hate lab reports. Sigh.

Even though I don't get a 1 hour lunch break like some people do, I don't look at it as a shortcoming. We get to go home 1 hour earlier. Yay. However, I still study 31 hours per week compared to 30 hours per week for Taylors. Sigh. With no lunch break, the only time I can have lunch is during short 10 minute breaks. We'll rush to Chong's Cafe and select the cheapest and the value for money factor dish ( mix rice ). To date, Ivan has won in streaks. Must learn from him already. Ha ha.

To sum it all up, college life is gradually changing for the better. College life could surpass the amount of fun we had in secondary school as we have more "freedom" ( you know what I mean) and weirdos too. Have a 1/2 cup full attitude and college life wont be so sucky. It all depends on you =)
